WOMAN BEATS 9 MONTHS OLD BABY TO DEATH

A 23-year-old woman believed to be mentally deranged has allegedly beaten her 9-month-old baby boy, David Boateng, to death at Amaduma-Adankwame near Nfansi in the Atwima Kwanwoma district of the Ashanti region.
Luv FM’s Kwesi Debrah who has been following the story reported that
, the deceased mother, Esther Agyei, who is currently in Police custody at the Abuakwa District Police for interrogation claims the child died as a result of some strange illness.
“The woman told the police that her child was sick of a sickness known as anemia but the husband refused to give her money to buy drugs  which led to the sudden demise of her child died” Kwesi Debrah reported.
But residents he noted claim though the baby was beaten, malnutrition also contributed to his death.
Body of the baby has since been deposited at Afari community hospital morgue for autopsy.
